As part of Light to Night Festival 2018, we were warmly invited by Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM) to create an installation that will draw visitor interest to the collection at ACM. From small figurines of humans straddling on horses to magnificent lions, phoenixes and dragons immortalised in porcelain, the whimsical collection at ACM enlivens our imagination to create Curious Creatures of our own. Poking into corners and peeping through vents; Inquisitive little explorers uncovering myths at every bend.

Stemming from the curious creatures residing in the Asian Civilisations Museum (ACM) during the Light to Night Festival 2018, the sculptures transformed into vibrant illustrations that graced the facade of ACM and VCH. The illustration is 1 of 30 artwork that is part of the Art Skins On Monuments projection mapping project, a collaborative artwork lead by Brandon Tay and Safuan Johari.

Public workshop sessions were held along the Light to Night Festival 2018 Programme to introduce the creative process behind the Curious Creatures Collection at the Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM). We prepared geometric cards and stamps for attendees to experiment with, alike to how we designed the installation. The imaginative crowd responded with curious creatures in all shapes and sizes!
